Become a Volunteer

Volunteers are the driving force of Martha’s Table.

Without them, we could not continue! Volunteers care about our community; we are grateful for their donations of time and talent!

Each year, Martha’s Table nominates long-time volunteers for the Ontario Volunteer Service Awards.

Volunteers are recognized province-wide at local community venues and enjoy an evening awards ceremony.

Certificate of Achievement

Any volunteer who has completed over 75 hours of service becomes eligible for a personalized certificate, signed by the Executive Director. Keep track of your hours and notify your supervisor when you complete 75 hours.

Personalized Letter of Reference

Volunteers who complete over 40 hours may ask for a personalized letter of reference from the Executive Director.

Volunteer Appreciation Events

Each year, staff and Board members host a February volunteer appreciation week and a July outdoor picnic. All volunteers are invited to attend.

Volunteer of the Month/Year awards--will re-launch in 2026!

Volunteers that go above and beyond, and show special effort and caring are awarded the Martha’s Choice Award. A small gift and certificate of appreciation is presented at one of the appreciation events throughout the year.
